IELTS 考试 9 个分数段的评分标准分述如下：

　　BAND 9 　Expert User：Has fully operational command of the language appropriate，accurate and fluent with complete understanding．
　　9分专家级：具有完全的语言实际运用能力，达到恰当、准确、流利并理解透彻。

　　BAND 8　 Very good User ：Has fully operational command of the language with only occasional unsystematic inaccuracies and inappropriacies. Misunderstandings may occur in unfamiliar situations．Handles complex detailed argumentation well．
　　8分优秀级：具备充分的语言运用能力，在不熟悉的情景中偶尔可能出现细微的不确切和错误，较好掌握复杂的说理论辩。

　　BAND 7　 Good User：Has operational command of the language，though with occasional inaccuracies，inappropriacies and misunderstandings in some situations．Generally handles complex language well and understand detailed reasoning.
　　7 分良好级：在某些地方可能偶尔出现不确切、不恰当和误解。具备语言的实际运用能力。

　　BAND 6　Competent User：Has generally effective command of the language despote some inaccuracies，inappropriacies and misunderstandings，Can use and understand fairly complex language, particularly in familiar situations．
　　6分熟悉级：一般能较有效地运用语言，虽然有时出现不准确、不恰当和误解的情况，但是能理解和运用较复杂的英语，尤其是在熟悉的情景里。

　　BAND 5  Modest User：Has partial command of the language，coping with overall meaning in most situations，though is likely to make many mistakes．Should be able to handle basic communication in own field．
　　5分 中等熟练级：具有部分运用语言的能力，在大多数情况下可努力弄懂大意。虽然出现不少错误，但是在本领域内沟通基本无问题。

　　BAND 4  Limited User：Basic competence is limited to familiar situations．Have frequent problems in understanding and expression．Is not able to use complex language．
　　4分　初级熟练级：只限于在熟悉的情景中具有基本交际能力，理解和表达方面出现经常性错误，无法使用复杂语言，需不断努力才能继续进行交际。

　　BAND 3  Extremely Limited User：Conveys and understands only general meaning in very familiar situations．Frequent breakdowns in communication occur．
        3 分 不熟练级：只能在简单的情况下表达和理解，但在复杂的情景下无法交际，在理解和表达方面频繁出差错。

　　BAND 2  Intermittent User：No real communication is possible except for the most basic information using isolated words or short formulae in familiar situation and to meet immediate needs. Has great difficulty understanding spoken and written English．
　　2分　初学者级：在某些熟悉情况下能用只言片语表达一些意思，理解书面语和口语方面有重大障碍，无实际交际产生。

　　BAND l  Non User：Essentially has no ability to use the language beyond possibly a few isolated words．
　　1分　非使用者级：仅能说几个不关联的单词。

　　IELTS 成绩用于评估考生的英语水平是否达到了其学习或培训的语言要求，并没有一个固定的及格分数。某一学习或培训课程所要求的语言水平最终由学院 / 系 / 学校根据自身的课程内容决定、以及根据他们关于海外学生上课所需的语言水平的要求来决定的。
